Photographer Kati Rapia (born in Heinola in 1972) graduated with an MFA from the University of Art and Design Helsinki in 2003. She lives in Köpbacka, Loviisa. In addition to her photography, she has made a name for herself as an artist and comic book illustrator. Her photo collages have been featured in exhibitions both in Finland and abroad since 1997. She also creates album covers and animation, as well as comics and illustrations for Napa Books.

Rapio and Mari Savio joined forces and published their debut book in 2007: JUJU – Erilainen lastenvaatekirja (JUJU – A Different Kind of Childrenswear Book). It’s easy to fall under its spell at first sight. MAJA – Mielikuvituksellinen lastenhuonekirja (MAJA – The Book of Imaginative Children’s Rooms) followed in October 2008. It’s an inspiring book about how you can create fun games and exciting worlds in no time at all using found, recycled and easily available materials (www.jujubook.com).
